The latest KYOCERA AVX Interconnect sample kit outlines the focus products developed for industrial, medical and commercial devices where size and performance are mission critical.
The static portion of the demo board highlights gold plated BeCu high performance compression contacts for board-to-board connectivity as well as Insulation Displacement (IDC) and poke-home contacts and connectors for wire-to-board terminations. KYOCERA AVX has pioneered naked connector technology with UL certified single piece contacts that perform just as full functioning connectors, but with a lower cost and profile.
Two active demonstrations are possible, one with the “complete vertical mate” battery connectors that alleviate the damage potential in harsh environment and high cycle life applications with pluggable or disposable modules. By flipping the lid up on it’s end, it can be docked with naked pogo pin contacts that come in a variety of heights to support cradle or docking requirements.
