Selected from amongst hundreds of suppliers, two AVX manufacturing divisions were recognized for maintaining excellent performance ratings
AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer of passive components and interconnect solutions, today announced that it received a 2013 Gold Boeing Performance Excellence Award for its Myrtle Beach manufacturing facility, located in Myrtle Beach, S.C., in addition to a Silver Boeing Performance Excellence Award for its Olean Advanced Manufacturing Division, located in Olean, N.Y. The Boeing Company issues the awards annually to recognize suppliers who have achieved superior performance. The Myrtle Beach and Olean manufacturing facilities maintained their respective Gold and Silver composite performance ratings for each month of the 12-month performance period spanning Oct. 1, 2012 to Sept. 30, 2013.
This year, Boeing recognized 582 suppliers with a Gold or Silver level Boeing Performance Excellence Award; however, AVX is one of only 124 suppliers to receive the Gold level of recognition.
