AVX recognized for top innovations by Rockwell Collins for 3rd consecutive year
AVX Corporation, a leading manufacturer of advanced passive components and interconnect solutions, received the Capacitor Supplier of the Year 2010 award from Rockwell Collins for the third consecutive year. The award was presented to AVX by Jeff Moore, senior vice president of operations at Rockwell Collins, at its Annual Supplier Conference. The Capacitor Supplier of the Year 2010 award acknowledges significant contributions made during the year by suppliers, and is based upon quality, delivery, total cost of ownership, lead-time and customer service.
AVX’s product innovations have significantly impacted the electronic component market in recent years. The TurboCap® switch mode power supply capacitor, wet electrolytic tantalum, OxiCap niobium oxide, sub-picofarad varistor, BestCap® electronic double-layered (EDLC), and the land grid array (LGA) ceramic capacitors, along with new quick-connect insulation displacement connector (IDC) and modular LED lighting connector series are just some examples of AVX’s dedication to advancing product and manufacturing technologies.
“To be honored by Rockwell Collins for the third consecutive year confirms AVX’s commitment to supplying the highest quality passive and interconnect solutions. AVX’s pioneering technology is at the core of today’s electronic and electrical systems, and enabling next-generation applications as well, including sustainable energy, hybrid vehicles, advanced medical electronics, military/aerospace systems, and advanced communications for the mobile market,” said Pete Venuto, Vice President Sales at AVX. “Customer satisfaction is our primary goal at AVX, and we strive to develop innovative technologies, products and solutions that satisfy customer needs.”
